I am not a professional but I have had a certain amount of success.
One thing I can say is that
SEO is incredibly time consuming, especially at the beginning, and really rewarding when you achieve something. I don't believe in programmes that analyse your site and tell you what you are doing wrong. The only way is to learn the basics and put them into practice, then it is a question of continual research in order to stay ahead of the whims and fancies of Google & Co.
A good
SEO engineer is always ahead but his services don't come cheap!
Google provides 50-odd% of all searches. Currently none of the others do more than 25% Generally, if you can score with Big-G then you don't do badly with the others.
Perhaps it won't always be like that but, right now, Big_G semms to go from strength to strength. Watch for Google Local!
