I had a nighmare situation a few weeks ago.
Web.com had a fire in the section of the datacentre with the VPS servers - 40 of them (around 1,400 different domains).
Within 12 hours they had replaced all the machines, the routers and the cabling and started a backup that took 9 hours from a source in another building.
The only problem was that I did not know about all this until the backup had started and it obviously could not be stopped.
I already had my own backup and could have uploaded in about 1 hour - even with my crappie Telefonica connection.

I suppose that a fire is the absolute worst scenario for a server.

I also have had some good reviews from people that have been with fast hosts, and usually it is best to go on recommendation - so will point them in that direction.

Finding a new and good host is not always an easy thing to do, what works fine of someone else may not always work okay for you so you do need to be careful when transferring to your new host company.
