Dozens of Agencies have been closing over the past months due to the current state of the market and the stand still that many have experienced, what will these former estate agents do now?

Many have been agents for years and years, carrying on their profession from the UK, many have just falling into Real Estate in Spain because of how popular Spain is and how popular selling houses is in Spain!

What other professions can these former employees now take on?

Without Real Estate - some places in Spain are really going to suffer.

What would you do if you stopped selling houses? What else is open to you? Is there lots of jobs in your area? Or would you struggle?

I guess they will have to teach english or become builders just like all us brits do in here in Spain after all, its cos I can´t do either of those that I am working in an estate agents! he he!
To be honest though, its not looking good is it, I have been fortunate that I haven´t been one of the struggling unemployed so don´t know how easy or hard it is, I would imagine if you speak Spanish and are willing to turn your hand to anything there must be jobs out there?! or not?

I agree with Toni, it is not easy at the moment for estate agents.
New ideas are needed to capture more buyer information.

Do you really want me to answer that one truthfully on here?

Probably something to do with languages, as I speak German, English, Spanish and learning Russian it would have to be something along these lines to be able to use my best skills!

There are plenty of different things that I could get into especially here with all the different nationalities.
