Does anyone know about Rushcliffe International?
I drove past their Moraira office this evening and it seemed to have been cleared out.
Leastways the whole of the front area, visible from the street, was completely bare but their sign is still there.
Could it be that they have moved or am I being naive? With all the chit-chat going around about their Jardines de Montemar development the empty office cannot be reassuring people.
The Jardines de Montemar development is an apartment complex in Benissa with around 80 units. The last I heard, at the beginning of the year, was that they had sold around 50 of them - off plan, of course!
Then there was a problem with the permissions but this was only reported fully in the Spanish press and I don't know if or how it got resolved.
It seems that the land was designated as "Touristic Interest" many years ago and there was a supermarket, clubhouse and pool that Rushcliffe demolished.
Then, according to the press report, they built an apartotel. There was no problem there because that was of valid touristic interest but the town hall was saying that they could not be sold as separate viviendas.
The funny thing is that there
was a report in Costa Blanca News in English but way back, searching the archives, I could not find anything about it.
The only remaining reference can be found at
infobenissa.com in Valenciano and they say -

It is all very strange. How come something that serious was not better reported? Does any know anything about it?
If the Infobenissa.com report dissapears as well and Richie deletes this, perhaps I best go fishing until the end of the summer
