I noticed that the Forum members list has been disabled and expected it to come back again.
Will it stay like like this?
I would prefer to see it but perhaps Richie has a reason to leave it out.

Just got fed up with all the spammers using this forum, so gave them one less thing to spam!
If you are looking for a member and know who you are looking for just use the search. | |

Really - what a shame the world's like that!
In another thread we are talking about my being listed as a spammer by Wikipedia for saying that Villa Holidays in Moraira | Holiday Villas to Rent in Moraira is a rental agency in Moraira. I contributed under the username "villaservers" and that is why they objected.
OK, there might have been minor self-promotion but I also posted about Moraira Information which is a site carring lots of valid info. for potential visitors. All in all I think both carried useful information for anyone researching Moraira - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia but they have to control the real spammers the same as SREF.

It is unfortunately a fine line for most people, some would see any self promotion posts as spam but hey, that is the world we live in and how life works. we have to tell someone what we do in order to continue doing it.
Personally i love to hear what other people are doing, new ideas and anything related to me that can help me or i can help them with.
everyone is different, luckily Richie is cool about us feeling at home in his forum - many would not be!

And self promotion? I don't mind as long as you don't take the piss, hint hint!
If it is too OTT then I will edit it, like that...
The reason, like I said for blocking the members list is because spammers have been logging on to the forum, taking the email addresses and spamming people, so I stopped it.
If I didn't people would only complain, I can see visitor paths and spammers in Russia, US and Ukraine were signing up just to get hold of the members list. | |
