Site suggestions? How about more members! It's a bit slow at the moment and not enough discussion - we need to get some more people on the forum.

Even looking through the membership which currently exists there is a danger that 80% of contributions come from 20% of the membership. Come on guys, there is strength in numbers, our industry is facing huge challenges and is under attack by the international media. We should be fighting back collectively and individually - lets hear some of the success stories from the last three years because for sure they are out their.....what have YOU done to survive in a difficult market. Why not share your experiences and maybe we can all begin to think more laterally and find opportunities which had not been apparent previously?

Here is an idea to get the forum moving.
Most members are professionals, right? Joe Public does not get here a lot but, if he did, that would be good for everyone.
Now we all had a chance to introduce ourselves but just said a few words.
How about a section, with sub-sections (estate agents, SEO people. rentals etc.) where everyone could describe fully what they had on offer and areas that they covered.
Or has this already been provided for?

I believe that we already have the sub sections - just not enough people post in them!
It might encourage more use of the forum if some of the associated services like SEO companies were to consider running a mini tuition course. I am sure that many agents,like me, do not know enough about this subject and by encouraging a greater awareness SEO's could do themselves and others a lot of good.

Even the habit of regular posting or starting a blog can increase awareness and drive more business your way..

Lets face it, we as agents are not all rushed off our feet but people are not always happy spending time posting on sites like this but i find it useful and i am sure that in time it will kick off to a much larger scale.

Whatever else Stuart it works; since I began posting on property forums my website frequently achieves over 300 generic hits in a day and my business has trebled. Granted, most of my activity is on much busier sites than this one but it is in our interests to make this site more successful....

I agree there is plenty of sub headings but it is getting people on here, I have spoke to Richie and he said that he has e-mailed well over 5,000 company websites trying to drum up interest, so it is not that he hasn't tried - there are over 100 members on here and he deletes the spam accounts so they are all real accounts!

There is plenty of time in the day to have a quick post, couple of links towards my websites and I agree with Sahl, it is up to us to get it going - we are the agents!

Way to go!! We are none of us so busy we cannot contibute something in a day - and just every so often we get something back. It is often the smallest ideas or suggestions that make the biggest difference...

I received an email solicitation from someone called Richie and so I clicked on the link. I liked what I saw and registered. This is a good way of promoting the forum, well done Richie
