Smile Hello from ELITE in Fuengirola

Élite Real Estate is founded by Fred van Krimpen, who has been living in Fuengirola for 30 years, and started in 1978 as one of the first Estate Agents of a foreign nationality on the Costa del Sol.

Being a certified Estate Agent and co-founder of the GIPE, Association of Spanish Estate Agents (member nr. 253). With several specialisation studies, he can boast on a very extensive expertise and experience. Also as a developer of various prestigious projects.

The area Élite specialises on, can be described for the insiders as: along the coast from Torrequebrada to Calahonda (Marbella) and then up in the mountains from Valtocado, via Mijas-Pueblo to Buena Vista. Not excluding special objects in other areas.

Élite Real Estate has mainly, a long lasting, international clientele, who can be best defined as “Individualists” whom demand and get a very personal treat and attention.

The rather personal and relaxed way of working is a proven success hence the many years of existence as Estate Agents.

Hope this gives a small Idea of who we are.

regards to all

Fred

Hey Fred, nice to have another one from the good old Costa del Sol on board. Has all the problems with the corruption in Marbella slowed things down in your area, I don't know anyone that works in and round Marbella - we just hear it on the Spanish news.

Don't know much about it but would like to know if it has taken an affect on the agents down there?

Welcome to the Spanish Real Estate Forum and hope you have some input in the Spanish Real Estate Forum.

Default API's and GIPE's

I was wondering if it worth having a title these days.
Years ago being an API was obligatory if you were selling property. Later the GIPE's came along and I understand that the qualification was easier to understand.
Now there are no restrictions.

Wink Title? Yes!

Hello to all.
In my opinion it is still worth to have a title. First of all it is important for our profession (as the word already means "profession": from professional) that we can show that we have a serious background concerning our profession with knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, etc. . Secondly towards our clients it is also a proof of our skills and that we know where we are talking about. There is so much sh!t being told to clients. And last but not least with all the "good"hmhmhm.... press the coasts and the agents are getting, it shows different when we create a serious image similar to for example lawyers.
Further, you all should be aware that the governments on E.U. level are working on a new regulation for estate agents, re-installing the obligation to have a title (not yet clear what kind of title).
Have a nice day.

Fred

I agree with Fred; the problem is that there are just so many 'so called' organisations springing up which purport to represent our industry and they all want one thing - our hard earned cash! I appreciate that they have to support the organisation but how do we decide which is most representative for our business and really gives us credibility and a 'voice'? All opinions very much appreciated....AIPP or NAEA? Please help me decide?

Question organisations

The problem with all these "organisations or associations" is that as Sahl is saying you don't know to which to adhere. Anyhow you should take in consideration that most, not to say all, have really no legal "weight" in the Spanish market and are just looking nice to the UK public. To my knowledge only the NAEA is demanding certain proof of skills from the overseas members. But that still is not a National or Spanish estate agents organisation.
I have tried several, including the EEAU (RIP) but it is all of no real use. For the moment I will stick to the GIPE and as founder-member to the just formed AIE in Fuengirola (Costa del Sol)

Default I Agree

Personally, I agree and would welcome legislation obliging Estate Agents to have a diploma proving formal training.
However, if it is run like the registration of renta rental agencies, it will be a shambles.
