Not another newbie

Question please

We are planning a long term rental in Spain, to find our feet.(6/11 months).
Must be coastal area. Prefer large town or city environment, but flexible on location.
1 bedroom min
2 adults non smokers no children (teetotal me)
OCD with tidiness
We also rent our property (UK) through a agent.
And the hard bit, we do not wish to pay to much around £300/£350 per month.

Is it possible?

Hello timebandit,

300 - 350 pounds sterling is roughly 380 - 440 euros today, it is possible on the Costa Blanca south, you would easily get a long term rental for this price.

The only thing is because of the season just coming in, many do short holiday rentals as they profit more from them - but you should be able to find someone willing to let it out long term to you.

When are you thinking of arriving?

What are your long term plans? Are you seeking work out here?

We can put you in touch with a couple we know of that we send people to, they have many privately owned apartments within this price range.

Let us know a little more of what your plans are, knowing where you want to be would help a bit more as Spain is a big old place

Chris does long term rentals as well as short term rentals and I know he will be able to help you out. Only properties around Torrevieja.

Also Sandcastles Property Rentals in Villamartin - David and Mike, their telephone number is 639 511 648, they will be able to help you if you are interested in renting in Villamartin.

Otherwise from that, I am sure there are some members on here that do rentals - that will be able to contact you if you are interested in renting in the areas that they deal with.

Like Mevilla said, it would be much easier if you knew where you want to be, do you have any rough idea?

Thanks for the quick replies.
For the six months, we are flexible on locations but do not wish to be inland. Our Knowledge of Spain is limited so we need to be open minded.
It would really be a dart in the map aiming for the bigger towns cities.
Timescale to renting, would be at least six months away commitment to UK until then.
Yes our long term plans, would be to seek work.
Not for the first year more concerned about location and would like to find out if Spain suitable for us.
Work would only spoil a opportunity to explore Spain in slow time.

Increased our research in the last week.
Would prefer to live on the coast.
Rather live in a large town with a majority of spanish to british
Not keen on a complex built for golfers, retirees or holiday makers.
