Hi there. I am John – my wife Anne and I bought a house in Moraira about 6 years ago. We are both teachers, so visit in the holidays – usually at half-term. I am a Spanish teacher, and having spent two years teaching in the Dominican Republic when I first qualified, I am told that I am fluent!

We completely revamped the house after we bought it – new everything – with the help of Spanish builders. They put a pool, terrace and BBQ area in the garden - but left us with the task of trying to create a garden at a distance. We had lots of failed attempts at getting plants to survive our absence, but nowadays it is more a case of cutting back the vast amounts of growth! During this time we let the house to friends and acquaintances who took their own linen and cleaned up after themselves. Now we have a management company to take care of all that, which takes a lot of the worry away. The house is advertised on this web-site – although I can’t get it to appear on a Google search!

You have certainly come to the right place to improve your holiday villa rental income and your search engine position. Here are some tips to help you -
Your signature could be better optimised. Google crawls the Forum on a daily basis looking for new links to follow. You have to tell Google what your website is about but this should make sense to people as well.
I would suggest "Villa Palmera: Our Holiday Villa with Private Pool in Moraira" - no doubt about it like this, eh?
Your website may need to be optimised. Do you know how to do this? If you need help, send me a Private Message and I'll recommend someone.
You can advertise your villa in the the Free Ad Section. Optimise it by placing the title "Villa Palmera: Holiday Villa with Private Pool in Moraira (Costa Blanca). Repeat the title in centred bold text at the top. Add one small picture and a description. Decide how you want people to contact you. Perhaps you would just have a link to your website. Other options are: invite a private message, a telephone number or e-mail. If you provide an email add the text (for example) "Send Us an E-mail" with a hyperlink to your e-mail address. Never dosplay the actual address.
You should post here regularly. Every time Google crawls a new post she sees your link and that is a vote in favour of your website.
Please help me get this Forum moving and help yourself at the same time! You could -

Tell us about you gardening exploits - Section: "Costa Blanca Gardens"
Compete the poll at "Costa Blanca Villa and Apartment Holidays" and add a reply with your own observations.
Tell us about the company who services your property. If they do a good job you could add their name and URL.
Tell us about your Spam problems, "Moans and Groans" is the place to do that. There are lots of IT experts hanging around here who will give you good advice.

Dear John97 - I am afraid that it is still not quite right.

Currently your signature looks like this -

It should look like this -
Villa Palmera: Our Holiday Villa with private Pool in Moraira

How to do it -
Go th "User CP" and delete your current signature.
Type the text you want for human eyes "Villa Palmera: .....etc"
Outline this text with your mouse.
Click the URL Icon above (the globe)
Type in the actual URL "http://our.villa.moraira.googlepages.com/"
Click <enter>

Apart from putting in your free ad it is important that you write regualarly by starting a new thread or replying to an existing one - remember that every time you do this you create a vote in favour of your website.
How about voting the poll for rental villa elements and writing a few words explaining your choice.

John - Don't leave it too long to post your holiday villa rental ad in the "Free Advertising" section.
Richie and I are working hard on it, the Costa Blanca Forum is taking off and the ads will not be free forever.
