Pride and trust go along way in business, and having these two elements incorporated into any business will stand you in good stead.
Another important factor, skill and effort (my old sales director's motto!).
How can you display pride and trust in to your Real Estate company?
After receiving a news letter or press release from the Federation of British Estate Agents in Spain this morning I quickly contacted them to find out more information and to ask permission to display this to our members.
I know there are already a dozen or so of you that are members of FBEAS but I thought it might be good to make everyone aware of this association for British Estate Agents in Spain.
To read more about their association visit
FBEAS website.
Not only will you be able to have the badge to say that your Real Estate agency abides by the
code of practice set by FBEAS but you also have the trust of potential buyers in the future which I feel is a great selling point after the stories that you hear regarding rogue agents in Spain.
If I didn't do what I do or had no experience of the property industry in Spain, there would be that slight piece of doubt in the back of my mind when I came down to purchasing a property.
Not only is this federation a great selling point, FBEAS is a model to how Real Estate agents SHOULD run there business. By signing up to FBEAS you agree to run your agency by its
code of practice, which is very simple stuff but as the bad press indicates, is not always followed.
One of the four directors of the company, Bill, mentioned that it is not a profit making company but still a registered Spanish S.L company. They do not canvass for business, they don't have advertising on their website (but members can up load their properties to the site for the general public to view for a small fee of 25 euros per month) and are just interested in giving the general public assurance when buying a property from a member of FBEAS that they are in safe hands.
The press release may have ended up in your inbox today as the press release was distributed around 2,000 sources today which include the UK media, English language media in Spain, large investor and property sector companies, the public media and of course to some Real Estate agencies throughout Spain - to sprend the good press amongst all.
FBEAS is ONLY open to British Estate agents in Spain.
The fees for joining are very low - and are charged in respect to your experience in the field and grade of membership. Starts start at only 125 euros for the lowest grade and only 175 euros for the full membership. (Prices are displayed on their website)
For more information on the company, how it can help you and your company and the code of practice, please visit
Federation of British Estate Agents in Spain.
SREF members that sign up will receive 3 MONTHS FREE advertising of their properties on the FBEAS.com website (usual price 25 euros per month = 75 euros).
