I like the site, i have been involved in website development for the past 10 years, the essentials are:
clean - no background image to confuse the user
non offensive colours - don't give the user a headache just because your favourite colours are red and yellow.
easy navigation - let the user get to where they want to go without a lot of fuss or clicking
useful content - are you providing what the user wants to read?
I think this site works nicely and looks good.
